History
Allambie Heights Public School was opened on 20th July, 1959 with an enrolment of 144 students and a staff of four teachers. In line with the residential expansion, a steady growth in School population was maintained over the succeeding years.
Characteristics of the local area have been incorporated into the design of the School Badge. An Aboriginal motif is used on a curved natural shape, with colours of terracotta and forest green predominating. Creatures of the sea, land and sky are depicted as they were carved on the rock platforms by the first inhabitants.
Allambie Heights Public School has celebrated fifty years of achievements in Primary Education and enjoys strong support in the local community. The School provides a caring and supportive teaching and learning environment with a diversity of educational programs and opportunities for all children. Literacy, numeracy and technology are emphasised within the learning program. The school exists to help children grow and develop intellectually, socially, physically and emotionally so they may become active members of our society.In addition the school has a stong creative and perfoming arts tradition, with great bands, choirs and dance groups.The school is a true community school enjoying tremendous support from local families and business. Many parents and grandparents went to the school and continue their support.The school continues to reflect the character of a generous and supportive community.
